Waste Management offers garbage carts in three sizes (35 gallon, 64 gallon, 96 gallon) for residential garbage collection. An amount depending on cart size is charged in addition to the quarterly drive-by service fee. No City garbage bags are needed when a Waste Management cart is used for curbside pick up. Contact Waste Management directly for pricing information or to request a cart for a residential location.

City of Okoboji garbage bags must be used for residential garbage if the Waste Management cart service is not used. Bags are to be tied shut and placed at the curb on pick-up day. The cost is $0.40 per 15 gallon bag, and $0.55 per 30 gallon bag. Large City bags may be purchased at the following Okoboji area outlets: Okoboji City Hall, Kum & Go (Okoboji); and Sunshine Foods (Milford).
