CITY SERVICES

Water:

Billed quarterly by the City Up to 10,000 gallons = $108.10 Minimum Charge + Water Meter Fee (fee determined by size of water meter) + 6% State Water Excise Tax.

Usage in excess of 10,000 gallons, is billed at a rate of $7.16/1000 gallons of usage + 6% State Water Excise Tax, in addition to the minimum charge. Bills are mailed quarterly on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. The bill is due the first of the following month. If not paid by the due date, a late penalty will be applied, and a reminder notice will be sent. If the bill is not paid in full by that due date, water service may be disconnected. If the shut-off process is started, a reconnect fee of $50.00 will be charged to continue water service (during regular working hours – after regular hours, $75.00 will be charged).

Libraries

Okoboji supports the public libraries in Arnolds Park and in Spirit Lake.

Pet Licensing:

No licensing of dogs or cats is required in the City of Okoboji, but pets are to be on leash when off their owners’ property.
